Laura Rangel
President/CEO
Laura, born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, joined Hope Insurance Agency, LLC. in January 2016 as an Account Executive. Fluent in English and Spanish, Laura brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of Texas-Pan American. She serves on the board of the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce. A former alumni of Leadership Mid-Valley 2018-2019, she currently serves on the Steering Committees Advisory Board for the Weslaco Chamber of Commerce.
Christy D. Sanchez
Account Executive Commercial Lines
​Christy, born and raised in McAllen, Texas, joined Hope Insurance Agency, LLC in September 2022 as an Account Executive focused on Commercial Lines. Christy has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Biology and English from the University of Texas – Pan American and brings 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily focused on Commercial Lines and Certificates of Insurance.
Melinda Navarro
Account Executive
Melinda Navarro, originally from Oklahoma and raised in Rio Hondo, is now an Account Executive at Hope Insurance. She has accumulated two years of experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry. Melinda's educational background includes expertise in Medical Office, Life & Health, and Property & Casualty Insurance. Her primary focus is on providing customers with comprehensive protection for themselves and their families.
Janie de Leon
Customer Service Representative
Janie, a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, joined Hope Insurance Agency in 2021, bringing with her an impressive 13-year tenure as a Customer Service Representative. Janie is fluent in English and Spanish. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Computer Office Specialist, further enhancing her skill set. Janie's genuine passion lies in assisting individuals, making her a dedicated advocate in providing valuable support to those in need.
Rick Barrera
Account Executive
Rick recently joined Hope Insurance Agency and brings over 35 years combined experience both as an independent agent and as an underwriter. Rick began his insurance career in the early 1980’s working in his father’s independent agency, then joined a local General Agency where he worked as a personal and commercial lines underwriter. Rick has always had a passion for helping people and has served his local community as a past Board Member of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, Leadership McAllen, and the McAllen North Rotary Club.
